This web interface of INDEX-db is currently a beta version

INDEX-db, the INDian EXome database is an open access comprehensive catalog of exonic sequence variants identified using Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) in a cohort of adult asymptomatic control individuals from different parts of the Indian sub-continent. The integrated variant browser and database allows users to query and visualize genomic coordinates (single locus, genomic loci and gene lists) harboring sequence variations and detailed associated features which will aid in efforts to understand the genomic landscape and ascertain population specific contribution underlying disease biology. The current release of INDEX-db (ver 2.0 24062019) is based on a sample size of 109 and will increase in subsequent release versions. If you would like to be a part of this project and help this database grow, please do get in touch with us.

INDEX-db is a user-friendly database with options to query by gene, variant locations and dbSNP identifiers. Bulk querying feature is also provided to make the database more useful. Please visit the search page of the website for querying. INDEX-db is an open-access database and is made available under the ODC Open Database License (ODbL). In short, one is free to use, share and modify the data so long as the INDEX-db is attributed in any public use of the database, or works produced from the database.
